Job Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, tools, equipment, and consumables used in construction and contracting projects. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper stock levels, timely material availability, and compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
  • Store materials systematically and safely according to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stock, or slow-moving items.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory audits.

Material Issuance & Control

  • Issue materials, tools, and equipment to site personnel based on approved requests.
  • Maintain records of material receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
  • Track consumables and ensure efficient usage to minimize wastage.
  • Coordinate with project sites regarding material requirements and availability.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Vouchers (MIV), and stock reports.
  • Maintain proper filing of delivery notes, purchase orders, and inventory documents.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.

Coordination

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Project Managers, and Site Engineers regarding material movements.
  • Follow up on pending deliveries and urgent material requirements.
  • Assist in planning material replenishment to avoid project delays.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Comply with company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Monitor expiry dates and storage conditions for applicable materials.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper in a contracting, construction, or engineering company.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.

Experience Requirements

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience as a Storekeeper in a contracting or construction company.
  • Experience managing construction materials, site inventories, and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of material receiving, issuing, stock control, and inventory reconciliation processes.

  • Construction tools and machinery spare parts.

Pay: AED1,500.00 – AED1,800.00 per month
