Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, and other operational requirements while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Manage procurement of bakery ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, and operational supplies.
- Create and process purchase orders and monitor order fulfillment.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and operations teams to avoid stock shortages.
- Compare quotations and prepare procurement reports.
- Ensure all purchased products meet company quality and food safety standards.
- Track supplier performance and resolve supply-related issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Minimumย 2 years of procurement experience in bakery, pastry, dessert, or food manufacturing.
- UAE experience in Food & Beverage industry is required.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience sourcing bakery ingredients, food products, and packaging materials.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of food safety and supplier compliance is an advantage.
