Duties and responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the UAE accounts team and the support office in India, ensuring real-time recording of accounting transactions in the ERP system in compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Continuously review and assess the roles and responsibilities of the accounts team, provide training, and develop documentation detailing each memberโs responsibilities and workflows.
- Visit the companyโs office in India periodically to train and provide guidance to the Finance and Accounts teams. Assess potential areas for improvement and collaborate with the Finance Manager to suggest and implement solutions aimed at increasing efficiency.
- Monitor costs incurred by each group company, coordinate with responsible parties to issue monthly intercompany invoices, and ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations.
- Oversee the review of existing agreements and design new contracts for transactions with related parties to meet tax compliance requirements.
- Manage VAT compliance for all companies, including the coordination of VAT return filings with the accounts department and VAT consultants.
- Regularly reconcile inventory and bill of entries with UAE customs records, including preparing monthly reconciliation statements and conducting periodic physical verifications.
- Track all fixed assets of the company, ensuring compliance with all customs/tax requirements, and conduct periodic physical verifications.
- Maintain and enhance advanced-level Excel skills, and train the accounts team to maximize the application of Excel functions and formulas in work-related areas.
- Oversee banking and payroll functions, and provide support during all types of company audits.
- Become proficient in the companyโs ERP software at an advanced level and continuously train and support the accounts staff in its use.
- Identify and implement potential improvements in the accounts department by leveraging the ERP system and support office, introducing new systems, procedures, and controls as necessary.
- Support the Finance Manager by preparing various financial and Management Information System (MIS) Repots.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities diligently and promptly that shall be informed as and when required.
Qualifications
Education: CA Intermediate
Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in UAE.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT Laws, Customs Regulations, Corporate Tax requirements.
- Well experienced in leading, monitoring and managing the team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in work.
- Well versed with bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office tools (especially in Excel)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office applications specially in Excel
- Working knowledge of any ERP
- Good Communication skills.
- Multitasking with hands on experience of leading a team.
- Driving License with own Vehicle.
Working conditions
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Working hours: 8:00 to 17:00 hours
- Public Holidays based on the UAE Holidays
