SilberArrows is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical accuracy, excellent administrative capabilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring that financial records, supplier transactions, and accounting processes are managed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and expense claims accurately and in a timely manner
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, and supporting documentation
  • Monitor accounts payable balances and ensure timely reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and account variances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, filing systems, and accounting documentation
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, and month-end schedules
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding payments, account queries, and supporting documents
  • Support the Head of Finance with daily accounting operations and reporting requirements
  • Assist with data entry, journal entries, and updating accounting systems when required
  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and internal controls
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Finance Department as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in accountancy.
  • Previous experience in accounting, finance
  • Knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and VAT.
  • Advance proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Strong adherence to policies and standards.
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
