Every day is different, but youโll mostly be:
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard hotel guests, staff, and assets.
- Manage and lead the hotelโs security team, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of hotel operations, identifying potential threats and implementing preventive measures.
- Oversee surveillance systems, access control, alarm systems, and physical security infrastructure.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, including fire safety, natural disasters, medical emergencies, and evacuation procedures.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services when needed.
- Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and brand safety regulations and standards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, accidents, or emergencies, preparing thorough incident reports and follow-up actions.
- Provide regular training for hotel staff on security awareness, loss prevention, crisis response, and workplace safety.
- Manage lost and found procedures and guest/staff incident reporting systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
What we need from you
- 2+ years of relevant experience in security management, preferably in hospitality, resort, or commercial property.
- Proven leadership experience with strong knowledge of safety protocols, emergency response, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in using security and surveillance systems (CCTV, access control software, etc.).
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
