Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical and electronic systems of a wide range of vehicles. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent safety and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle electrical systems in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Inspect wiring, circuits, connectors, fuses, relays, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Repair or replace defective wiring, electrical components, and electronic modules.
- Test and repair starters, alternators, batteries, ignition systems, lighting systems, power windows, central locking, and other electrical components.
- Install and troubleshoot automotive accessories such as GPS trackers, reverse cameras, parking sensors, audio systems, and other electrical equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, scan tools, voltmeters, and ammeters to identify faults accurately.
- Perform system testing after repairs to ensure all electrical systems function correctly.
- Conduct road tests when required to verify repairs and identify intermittent electrical issues.
- Estimate repair requirements and communicate findings to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Complete repair orders accurately, documenting all work performed and any additional recommendations.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and workshop quality standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Attend technical training sessions and stay updated on new vehicle technologies.
- Support other workshop activities as assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or Branch Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certification in Automotive Electrical, Auto Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimumย 2โ3 years of experienceย as an Automotive Electrical Technician (or adjust based on your requirement).
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience using vehicle diagnostic scanners and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and service manuals.
- Familiarity with modern vehicle electronics, CAN Bus systems, and diagnostic procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multiple vehicle brands (Japanese, European, American, or Commercial Vehicles).
- Knowledge of vehicle programming and ECU diagnostics.
- Experience installing aftermarket automotive electrical accessories.
- Basic computer skills for diagnostic software and service documentation.
