Barista

Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and welcoming cafรฉ environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment with accuracy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, equipment, and cafรฉ area.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide product recommendations.
  • Assist in managing stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
  • Handle cash and POS transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Support in cafรฉ opening, closing, and daily operational tasks.
  • Provide a positive and engaging customer experience to build customer loyalty.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 1โ€“2 years of experience as a Barista in a cafรฉ, restaurant, or specialty coffee shop.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing methods (espresso, pour-over, French press, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of latte art is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
