Bartender

Role

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving high‑quality beverages while delivering refined, attentive, and personalized guest service in a fine‑dining environment. The role ensures consistent cocktail execution, maintains bar cleanliness and organization, supports inventory and stock control, and contributes to an elevated bar experience through strong product knowledge, professionalism, and teamwork.

Reporting to: Bar Manager

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty beverages according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain deep knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine varietals, and beverage pairings.
• Ensure all beverages are served promptly, accurately, and with fine‑dining etiquette.

Guest Experience

• Engage with guests in a warm, professional manner, offering recommendations based on preferences.
• Anticipate guest needs and personalize service to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Handle guest concerns or feedback with professionalism and composure.

Bar Operations

• Set up and break down the bar daily, ensuring full mise‑en‑place and readiness for service.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar area at all times.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor stock levels and communicate requisition needs to the Head Bartender or Bar Manager.
• Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of all beverages and garnishes.
• Minimize wastage through accurate pouring and portion control.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Head Bartender, bartenders, and barbacks to ensure smooth service flow.
• Support training initiatives and maintain consistent beverage quality across the team.
• Participate in menu updates, tastings, and service briefings.

Self-Learning & Development

· Engage in Training Sessions when required

· Develop detailed product knowledge

· Be fully committed and dedicated to personal development and growth, working toward the achievement of performance targets on agreed periodic basis

Pre-requisites

· Minimum 1–3 years of bartending experience, preferably in fine dining or premium cocktail bars.

· Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, wine, and beverage trends.

· Excellent communication and guest‑interaction skills.

· Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast‑paced environment.

· Certification in responsible alcohol service (preferred).

· Positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to high service standards.
