Position Summary

The Boom Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a boom loader (telescopic loader / boom truck loader) to lift, move, and place heavy materials, equipment, and construction supplies at various heights and locations on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate boom loader equipment safely and efficiently for lifting and placing materials at required heights and positions.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials such as steel, pallets, pipes, blocks, and machinery.
• Assist in site lifting operations in coordination with riggers, signalers, and site supervisors.
• Inspect lifting area and ensure ground stability before operating the machine.
• Follow all lifting plans, load charts, and safety guidelines strictly.
• Perform daily equipment checks (hydraulics, brakes, boom condition, tires, fuel, etc.) before operation.
• Ensure proper use of lifting attachments and accessories.
• Maintain communication with signalmen/riggers using hand signals or radio communication.
• Ensure safe lifting practices to avoid accidents, equipment damage, or load imbalance.
• Report any mechanical faults or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper parking/storage of the equipment after use.
• Support site activities when lifting operations are not required.
• Comply with all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) rules and company procedures.
• Participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks regularly.

Requirements

• Valid boom loader / telescopic handler / heavy equipment operator license (as per UAE/local regulations).
• Proven experience in operating boom loader or similar lifting equipment in construction projects.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and load safety limits.
• Knowledge of site safety standards and HSE procedures.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with riggers and site teams.
• Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor and high-risk environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
