Job Summary:
The Workshop Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the automotive workshop, ensuring a safe, organized, and professional working environment for employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the workshop floor, service bays, offices, waiting area, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, dust, and remove dirt, grease, oil, and debris from the workshop.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Clean workshop equipment, tools, and workstations as instructed.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, pantry, and staff facilities.
- Refill cleaning supplies, soap, tissue, and other consumables when required.
- Ensure walkways and work areas remain free from hazards and obstructions.
- Assist in organizing workshop materials and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Perform any other cleaning or housekeeping duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in an automotive workshop or industrial environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace hygiene and safety practices.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
- Hardworking, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Willing to work flexible hours when required.
