The Cleaning Team Leader is responsible for supervising the daily cleaning operations throughout the water park, ensuring all guest and staff areas are clean, safe, hygienic, and maintained to the highest standards. This role leads a team of cleaning attendants, assigns tasks, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team.
  • Assign work schedules and cleaning tasks to team members.
  • Ensure all public areas, restrooms, changing rooms, pool decks, attractions, offices, and staff facilities are cleaned and maintained throughout operating hours.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and guest service requests.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment, and inventory; report shortages and arrange replenishment.
  • Ensure the safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Coach, motivate, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and lifeguard teams to maintain a safe environment for guests.
  • Maintain daily cleaning records, inspection checklists, and incident reports.
  • Assist with deep cleaning, special projects, and emergency cleaning situations when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2โ€“3 years of housekeeping or cleaning experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in water parks, hotels, resorts, recreational facilities, or large public venues is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling are an advantage.
