Key Responsibilities
- Has full operational control of lifting operations and directs the lifting team during the lift.
- Plans, supervises, and ensures safe execution of lifting and hoisting activities in accordance with the approved lift plan.
- Performs all AP/Site CPLO duties except preparing and approving the lift plan, while supporting its development.
- Verifies correct crane configuration, lifting equipment, and safety devices before operations.
- Conducts pre-task briefings, applies Human Performance (HP) tools, and promotes safe lifting practices.
- Establishes and controls the Red Zone by completing Start Work Checks (SWC).
- Ensures lifting routes, access, and escape paths are clear, safe, and free from hazards or obstructions.
Requirements
- 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or relevant supervisory experience.
- Minimum 5 years of oil & gas lifting experience (offshore/onshore), including 3 years as a Lifting Supervisor.
- Competent in supervising lifting operations, including critical lifts, with strong practical experience.
- Skilled in leading Crane Operators, Slingers, and Banksmen while ensuring safe lifting practices and HSE compliance.
- Certified in the 4-day ADNOC Drilling-approved Lifting Supervisor course (offshore or mobile crane specific) and re-assessed every 3 years.
