Food & Beverage Supervisor

Job Description

  • Attends the F&B meeting or any other meeting instructed by Food & Beverage Office.
  • Trains continuously his staff (behaviour, suggestive selling, service skills, knowledge, etc.)
  • Makes sure all operation equipment are cleaned and polished on a sufficient amount for the operation.
  • Prepares daily log book with details.
  • Coordinates with Engineering when repairing needs to be done via Maintenance.
  • Follows up daily occupancy and take necessary action for service
  • Looks after the associates and solve the Problems, which might arise from time to time.
  • Suggests and recommends to the F&B Office the most efficient way of the operation
  • Implements new service procedures together with the Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Follows up the instructions, which are given by F&B Office.
  • Handles all administration regarding his/her Outlet
  • Supervises and is responsible of billing and cash flow of his/her Outlet (closing the checks, discounts, voids, Hospitality Guarantee, etc).


During the operations:

  • Checks quality of food & beverage items temperature, presentation, quantity.
  • Makes sure the restaurant is clean, always tidy, without any hazard and safe all the time.
  • Deals with guest complaints.
  • Welcomes the guests and allocate a table.
  • Handles special requests.
  • Needs to have sale behaviour, and show as a leader the sales knowledge to increase the revenue of the restaurant.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of supervisory experience in retail or food service
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cash handling procedures
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and scheduling software
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with local health and safety regulations in Qatar
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
