Heavy Flatbed Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Heavy Flatbed Truck Driver to transport construction materials, machinery, steel, equipment, and other oversized or heavy loads to various project sites. The successful candidate will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to road safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy flatbed trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport construction materials, heavy equipment, machinery, steel, pipes, and other cargo to designated locations.
• Secure loads using chains, straps, binders, and tarpaulins to ensure safe transportation.
• Inspect vehicles before and after each trip and report any mechanical issues or defects.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded safely in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, trip logs, fuel receipts, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes while complying with traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch, site supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
• Report accidents, delays, or incidents immediately to management.
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and arrange servicing when required.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence (UAE Licence No. 4 or equivalent, as applicable).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating heavy flatbed trucks.
• Experience transporting oversized or heavy loads is preferred.
• High school education or equivalent is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
• Ability to secure heavy and oversized cargo safely.
• Familiarity with vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
• Physically fit and capable of handling loading and securing equipment when required.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and professionalism.

Working Conditions

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
• Ability to travel to various project sites across the UAE.
• Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction environments.
