Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines, ensuring all work meets company and industry quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel truck systems including engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and electrical components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and commercial vehicle inspections.
• Complete detailed work orders, maintenance reports, and parts documentation.
• Order parts and liaise with parts department to support repair work.
• Provide accurate estimates for parts, labor, and repair timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school or vocational training in diesel/automotive/mechanical technology is preferred.
• Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic certification or equivalent heavy-duty/mechanic credential (preferred or willing to pursue).
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and engines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy shop environment.
