A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but youโ€™ll mostly be:

  • Lead the Housekeeping team to deliver exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and comfort across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping, laundry, and public area operations in line with IHG brand standards and Forbes service expectations.
  • Drive guest satisfaction by promptly resolving concerns, managing special requests, and ensuring memorable guest experiences.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, public areas, and laundry operations to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Plan and oversee deep cleaning programmes, preventive maintenance coordination, and room readiness with the Engineering and Front Office teams.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventories, linen and guest supplies, while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and control costs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Housekeeping team, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, environmental, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs, labour productivity, and quality scores, implementing action plans to drive operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations and an outstanding guest journey.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by promoting efficient use of resources and environmentally responsible housekeeping practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment while recognising and developing future talent within the department.

What We need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive housekeeping experience within the hospitality industry, including leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, cleaning standards, and quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, inventories, labour costs, and productivity.
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
  • Experience working with hotel property management and housekeeping systems is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English. Additional language skills are an advantage.
