Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior IT Support / Helpdesk Technician with at least 1 year of experience in providing technical support. The ideal candidate will assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end-users, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Assist with user account management (password resets, access permissions).
- Log and track support requests in the ticketing system.
- Support IT inventory management and maintain documentation.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and common IT hardware.
- Familiarity with network basics (LAN/Wi-Fi, IP addressing).
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365.
- Knowledge of remote support tools.
- Basic understanding of IT security best practices.
- Basic knowledge of networking and CCTV.
