Land Surveyor

Parsons is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for conducting precise field surveys to support construction and infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring that project layouts, elevations, and alignments meet design and quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing field surveys including topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys as per project requirements.
- Setting out construction works based on approved drawings and specifications.
- Operating and maintaining surveying instruments such as Total Stations, GPS systems, levels, and data collectors.
- Recording and processing field data accurately for use in engineering and construction activities.
- Assisting the Senior Land Surveyor in verifying site measurements, levels, and alignment of structures and utilities.
- Coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and site supervisors to ensure survey data supports construction progress and accuracy.
- Preparing field sketches, survey notes, and reports for documentation and project records.
- Identifying discrepancies or potential issues in the field and reporting them promptly to the supervisory team.
- Adhering to project safety requirements and company procedures during all field activities.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution, subject to approval by the Engineer.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in land surveying, preferably on infrastructure and civil works projects.
- Proficiency in using modern survey equipment and software including Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Prior experience on large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, and drainage networks.
- Knowledge of local surveying regulations and practices.
- Experience working in the Gulf region is preferred.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and data integration is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
