Job Description

The Laundry Attendant at Raffles & Fairmont Doha is responsible for the daily operation of the laundry room, ensuring all linen, uniforms, and guest laundry are cleaned, pressed, folded, and distributed in accordance with the hotel’s high standards. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and distribute linen, uniforms, and guest laundry efficiently.
• Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and properly.
• Inspect laundry items for stains, damages, and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
• Follow chemical usage guidelines and handle detergents and cleaning agents safely.
• Ensure timely processing of laundry items to meet operational demands.
• Assist in receiving and storing laundry supplies and materials.
• Comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Support other laundry staff and assist with any additional tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry operations is preferred but not essential;
• Basic understanding of laundry machinery and textile care.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically able to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
