Metal Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing metal products or structures to protect them from corrosion and provide a high-quality appearance.

Job Summary:
The Metal Painter prepares metal surfaces and applies paint, coatings, or finishes using spray guns, brushes, or rollers. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or removing rust and old paint.
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications.
  • Apply primers, paint, and protective coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
  • Ensure smooth, even, and defect-free finishes.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality and touch up imperfections as needed.
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools.
  • Follow work orders, technical drawings, and painting specifications.
  • Observe all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a metal painter, industrial painter, or automotive painter is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of paint types, coating systems, and surface preparation techniques.
  • Ability to operate spray painting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and work in various environments.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
