Job Summary

The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, and related equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The role requires ensuring all plumbing work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
  • Install plumbing fixtures such as toilets, wash basins, sinks, faucets, showers, and water heaters.
  • Read and interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Inspect plumbing systems to identify faults, leaks, and blockages.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems.
  • Replace damaged pipes, valves, fittings, and other plumbing components.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Prepare daily work reports and report any issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ITI/Diploma or vocational certification in Plumbing is preferred.
  • Minimum 2โ€“5 years of plumbing experience in commercial or industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of plumbing materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow specifications.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
