We’re looking for a professional and enthusiastic Waiter/ess to join our dynamic team in Novotel Dubai Al Barsha, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you’ll be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our diverse and discerning guests. As a Waiter/ess, you’ll combine attentive service with genuine warmth, ensuring every guest feels valued and well-cared for throughout their visit. Your ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor will be essential to your success in this fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

• Greet and seat guests with a warm, professional welcome, creating a positive first impression
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and daily specials
• Provide detailed menu information and personalized recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, courteous manner while maintaining impeccable presentation standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area throughout service
• Process payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions with precision
• Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns
• Adhere strictly to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health protocols
• Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant, including restocking supplies and organizing workstations
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusivity when interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a waiter/ess in a high-volume, luxury hospitality environment (hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant)
• Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated commitment to guest satisfaction and loyalty
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask efficiently, and maintain composure in busy settings
• Solid knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and dining etiquette
• Proficiency with basic mathematics for accurate bill calculations and payment processing
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• Strong memory for menu items, specials, and guest preferences
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages (Arabic, French, or other languages) is highly advantageous
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to Dubai’s multicultural dining environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high grooming and dress code standards
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Willingness to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
