Job Summary:
A Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by welcoming guests, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus and explain daily specials or promotions.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring quality standards.
  • Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and respond to requests.
  • Clear tables, remove used dishes, and reset tables for the next guests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Handle customer complaints politely and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area according to food safety standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up tables and replenishing supplies.
  • Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

  • Hotel management degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods.
